Techwell Business Development Manager

The role of a Techwell Business Development Manager is to proactively engage with our customers through face to face appointments at a customer’s premises or via alternate technology, such as Zoom. Through such appointments with both small to medium-size customers, you will establish a good understanding of the customers business and how they use technology. Utilising your knowledge and expertise to deliver high yielding sales results, you will also provide an exceptional customer experience creating loyalty and referral business across your customer base. This role would suit a sales professional with a driven, winning attitude who can have fun whilst working towards exceeding performance expectations.

Want in?

You will need to be ambitious, energetic and driven, with at least two years of proven success in solution selling within a Business Development role. Specific industry knowledge of both telecommunications and the Telstra product and service offerings is preferred but not essential. Your ability to deliver professional written and verbal communications are necessary as are presentation skills.

Total reward earnings start at $65,000 base, plus super with uncapped commissions.

  • Effectively position technology solutions that deliver benefits to your customers business

  • Consistently achieve set KPI’s and sales targets
  • Manage face to face customer appointments through portfolio management and appointment setters
  • Self-source new opportunities within your designated region
  • Preparation of customer presentation proposals
  • Create new referral business to increase client base
  • Maintain a healthy sales opportunity pipeline
  • Work autonomously managing a customer base
  • Sales order processing excellence – completed in a timely manner with a key focus on attention to detail
  • Drafting and reviewing customer contracts
  • Stakeholder management
  • Ongoing self skilling around emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  • A winning attitude and can have fun whilst working towards exceeding performance expectations

Required skills

  • A proven track record in field-based B2B sales, min 2 years experience
  • A mature approach to consultative selling
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude, with a hunger for success
  • Experience working autonomously and as part of a team
  • High-level communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise
  • Competency with computer systems
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong sales hunting experience
  • Previous telecommunications or IT sales experience will be highly regarded
  • Motivated attitude, working to and exceeding above and beyond targets
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
