HTG teams come together for four ‘Connect’ events a year, where team members can meet up outside working hours to socialise, enjoy an activity, or enjoy food and drinks at a location of choice. The real deal-maker: HTG fronts a portion of the bill! This quarter, the retail team from Telstra Store Helensvale picked the perfect venue to feed their souls and quench their thirst: House of Brews.
House of Brews
Upon arrival, the team were set up at a long beer hall style table, and it wasn’t long until they were hooking into a range of burgers, nachos, sweet potato fries and chicken wings. But they aren’t just the kings of the BBQ; they truly are the celebrants of all things brewed and rock too! The 32 beer-tap drinking and dining establishment in Orchid Ave is not only aptly named, it boasts the only rooftop cocktail bar in Surfers Paradise. What a spot for a well-deserved night out!

As a store we are all very close, it was great to see everyone out of work and socialise. We are all very thankful to be able to do this, and overall the night was a big success! After the dinner everyone headed off to another bar for some more drinks together, we played ‘around the world’ on the ping pong tables, a game of pool and danced around all night! Everyone had a great time.
In reflection, the funded HTG Connect evenings are one of the main reasons HTG is such a great place to work. Having the time to enjoy whole conversations without distraction and get to know the rest of the team, even more, makes working together much more enjoyable. I look forward to attending many more of them in the future!
